Upper Iowa University...Dean's List of Scholars

I made the Dean's list for the Spring session. Most of my time is spent studying and doing class projects; leaving little time for my chess activities. I am proud of myself for this showing because I was out of a classroom for 28 years and I naturally worried how I would perform academically. Not to worry, I have a 4.0 GPA as I enter my Senior year. Just think, only 30 credit hours to graduation.

That's great. Congratulations!

I *think* I *might* have fixed the IE7 issue with my blog. I was able to recreate the problem on one computer. And, it seems to work ok on that computer now. The next time you go there it may used cached files and still be slow. If so, try to refresh the page and *maybe* it will work better...

Thanks.

Congratulations!

I am still thinking about why your OTB score lags your online score so much. Are you playing at the same or similar time controls in both cases? Is it possible you play well at the beginning of a tournament but then become exhausted, or the adrenaline rush of a rated game throws you off?

I've been doing physical training in preparation for the world open. I think maybe it is almost as important as chess training (and my doctor is certainly not complaining!). :)
